What Is HALO Skydiving?
Jumping from the world’s highest skydiving altitude is heaven sent, but that’s not why it’s called HALO skydiving – it’s an acronym for High Altitude, Low Opening, and it’s glorious.
When you ascend beyond 15,000 feet MSL, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires all skydivers to use supplementary oxygen on board, which is why skydiving usually occurs from 12,500 feet, at the most. Exiting the airplane from 16,500 feet (which, at Skydive Perris, equals 18,000 feet MSL) grants 90 seconds of freefall at speeds up to 120 mph! Sounds amazing, right? Just wait til you do it!

What To Expect
Extra Training
Preparing for a tandem skydive is one thing … preparing for a HALO tandem skydive is another. You’ll receive specific training to get you ready to soar to the highest heights.
Supplementary O2
You’ll ride to altitude in a specially equipped jump plane, looking extra cool while you sip on supplementary oxygen. You’ll leave your mask behind on exit.
Freefall
Jumping from 16,500 feet gives you 90 seconds of freefall – that’s 30 seconds more than jumping from 12,500 feet. It’s an experience that’s 100% beyond compare!
Deployment
At about 5,000 feet, your tandem instructor will deploy the parachute, treating you to sweet views of sunny Southern California! This is what Cloud 9 feels like!

Age
Must be at least 18. Bring valid, government-issued photo ID. No maximum age!

Weight
Cannot weigh over 240 lbs; private weigh-in at check in; over 220 lbs requires $25 fee.

Must be in generally good health. See your doctor with concerns; a note may be required.

Must read and speak English to complete waiver, and communicate with instructors.

Expect to be here 2-4 hours. Weather or other delays may extend your time with us.
