Why Is The DC9 So Special?
Our Douglas DC-9 is the world’s only skydiving jet! She flies only for special events on specific dates, and her jump run speed is around 140 to 160 mph. Since average skydiving tandem pairs fall at about 120 mph, you will start your jump decelerating to YOUR terminal velocity. Because tandem jumpers are last to exit, they get to sit in First Class during the short trip to altitude and walk all the way to the tail when it’s time to exit.

What To Expect
First Class Skydiving Experience
The climb to altitude takes approximately four to six minutes. Boarding everybody and getting the aircraft ready to go will take more time than the actual flight. On your way up, you’ll have the luxury of first-class accommodations! Please leave the seatbacks and tray tables in their upright and stowed positions—the cocktails will come after you land!
Exit! Exit! Exit!
As you exit, it’s a run-out-style exit. The jet flies fast and other tandem pairs will be jumping with you. Don’t hesitate, work with your tandem master, and trust us. The most exciting tandem skydive of your life is right outside the door.
Freefall
At approximately 13,500’ AGL, you’ll exit the jet and begin to freefall! You’ll speed through the clear-blue California sky at 120 mph (after deceleration) for an amazing time!
Deployment
At about 5,000 feet, your tandem instructor will deploy the parachute, treating you to sweet views of sunny Southern California for 5-10 minutes! What will be your first words after this extraordinary experience?

Must be at least 18. Bring valid, government-issued photo ID. No maximum age!

Weight
Cannot weigh over 240 lbs; private weigh-in at check in; over 220 lbs requires $25 fee.

Must be in generally good health. See your doctor with concerns; a note may be required.

Must read and speak English to complete waiver, and communicate with instructors.

Plan on spending the majority of your day with us.

Outside Video
Availability of outside video cannot be guaranteed if not reserved in advance.

Exit Shot
Capturing the exit shot during a Jet Jump is not guaranteed due to the high-speed exit from the Jet.

While our camera flyers are exceptional skydivers and will do their best to capture the exit shot, we can't guarantee it due to the high speed of the jet, and no refunds will be issued if they miss it.
