AFF Level 1 Training Video
- Take your position in the door
- Check in with main side instructor
- Exit count – out, in, ARCH
- Count 4 seconds.
- Circle of awareness.
- Three practice pulls.
- Altitude check, report to main side.
- Altitude awareness and positive stability until 6,000 feet.
- 6,000 FT – Lock on to altimeter.
- 5,000 FT – Wave off and pull.
AFF Level 2 Training Video
- Take your position in the door.
- Check in with main side instructor.
- Same Exit as Level 1
- Exit count – out, in, ARCH.
- Count 4 seconds.
- Circle of awareness.
- Three practice pulls.
- Read and report altitude.
- On signal, forward motion for six seconds, then back to neutral.
- Short COA; wait for signal.
- Main side instructor will signal to repeat forward motion, if altitude allows. Second forward motion is held four seconds.
- 6,000 FT – Lock on
- 5,000 FT – Wave off and pull.
AFF Level 3 Training Video
- Take your position in the door.
- Check in with main side instructor
- Same exit as Level I & II
- Exit count – out, in, ARCH.
- One practice pull.
- Circle of awareness.
- Reserve side instructor will release.
- You and the main side instructor turn 90° to the left and stop facing the reserve instructor.
- Read and report altitude.
- You and the main side instructor turn 90° back to your right.
- Read and report altitude.
- If sufficient altitude remains, the reserve side instructor will signal another turn.
- 6,000 FT – Lock on.
- 5,000 FT – Wave off and pull
AFF Level 4 Training Video
- Take your position in the door.
- Check in with main side instructor.
- Same exit as Level I, II, & III
- **No reserve side instructor**
- Exit count – out, in, ARCH.
- One practice pull.
- Check Altitude
- Instructor moves in front of you.
- Instructor releases.
- You maintain heading for at least 15 seconds.
- Every 1,000 feet you will report altitude to the instructor.
- 6,000 FT – Lock on.
- 5,000 FT – Wave off and pull.
AFF Level 5 Training Video
- SPOTTING – point out the landing area before exiting.
- NEW EXIT – Climb out
- Wait for instructor to get grips & signal ok.
- Exit count.
- One practice pull.
- Instructor moves in front of you.
- Instructor will release when proper neutral body position is achieved.
- Hold heading.
- Wait for turn signal.
- Turn 180°, stop, check altitude.
- Turn 180° back to face instructor.
- Check altitude.
- Instructor signals forward motion.
- Forward motion & check altitude.
- If above 7,000ft, instructor signals turn.
- Turn 360° and face off with instructor.
- Check altitude.
- 6,000 FT – Lock on.
- NEW PULL ALTITUDE 4,500 FT – Wave off (checking left and right to make sure you are clear) and pull.
AFF Level 6 Training Video
- Spotting – point out the landing area before exiting.
- UNSTABLE EXIT – Instructor pushes student out of the plane.
- Hold for 3 – 5 seconds.
- Explode into an arch and get stable
- Altitude check.
- Practice pull.
- Instructor signals direction of delta track.
- Student tracks for 8 – 10 seconds.
- 360° turn if above 7,000ft.
- 6,000 FT – Signal no more maneuvers.
- 4,500 FT – Wave off (signal twice looking left and right) and pull.
AFF Level 7 Training Video
- Spotting – point out the landing area before exiting.
- DIVE EXIT – Take your position and give the exit count.
- Practice pull.
- Check altitude.
- Barrel roll.
- Altitude check.
- 360° turn to left
- Altitude check.
- 360° turn to right
- Altitude check
- More 360° turns if time
- 6,500 FT – Turn 180° from the center of the formation and delta track for 5 seconds.
- 4,500 FT – Wave off (signal twice looking left and right) and pull.
