AFF Level 1 Training Video

  1. Take your position in the door
  2. Check in with main side instructor
  3. Exit count – out, in, ARCH
  4. Count 4 seconds.
  5. Circle of awareness.
  6. Three practice pulls.
  7. Altitude check, report to main side.
  8. Altitude awareness and positive stability until 6,000 feet.
  9. 6,000 FT – Lock on to altimeter.
  10. 5,000 FT – Wave off and pull.

AFF Level 2 Training Video

  1. Take your position in the door.
  2. Check in with main side instructor.
  3. Same Exit as Level 1
  4. Exit count – out, in, ARCH.
  5. Count 4 seconds.
  6. Circle of awareness.
  7. Three practice pulls.
  8. Read and report altitude.
  9. On signal, forward motion for six seconds, then back to neutral.
  10. Short COA; wait for signal.
  11. Main side instructor will signal to repeat forward motion, if altitude allows. Second forward motion is held four seconds.
  12. 6,000 FT – Lock on
  13. 5,000 FT – Wave off and pull.

AFF Level 3 Training Video

  1.  Take your position in the door.
  2. Check in with main side instructor
  3. Same exit as Level I & II
  4. Exit count – out, in, ARCH.
  5. One practice pull.
  6. Circle of awareness.
  7. Reserve side instructor will release.
  8. You and the main side instructor turn 90° to the left and stop facing the reserve instructor.
  9. Read and report altitude.
  10. You and the main side instructor turn 90° back to your right.
  11. Read and report altitude.
  12. If sufficient altitude remains, the reserve side instructor will signal another turn.
  13. 6,000 FT – Lock on.
  14. 5,000 FT – Wave off and pull

AFF Level 4 Training Video

  1. Take your position in the door.
  2. Check in with main side instructor.
  3. Same exit as Level I, II, & III
  4. **No reserve side instructor**
  5. Exit count – out, in, ARCH.
  6. One practice pull.
  7. Check Altitude
  8. Instructor moves in front of you.
  9. Instructor releases.
  10. You maintain heading for at least 15 seconds.
  11. Every 1,000 feet you will report altitude to the instructor.
  12. 6,000 FT – Lock on.
  13. 5,000 FT – Wave off and pull.

AFF Level 5 Training Video

  1. SPOTTING – point out the landing area before exiting.
  2. NEW EXIT Climb out
  3. Wait for instructor to get grips & signal ok.
  4. Exit count.
  5. One practice pull.
  6. Instructor moves in front of you.
  7. Instructor will release when proper neutral body position is achieved.
  8. Hold heading.
  9. Wait for turn signal.
  10. Turn 180°, stop, check altitude.
  11. Turn 180° back to face instructor.
  12. Check altitude.
  13. Instructor signals forward motion.
  14. Forward motion & check altitude.
  15. If above 7,000ft, instructor signals turn.
  16. Turn 360° and face off with instructor.
  17. Check altitude.
  18. 6,000 FT – Lock on.
  19. NEW PULL ALTITUDE 4,500 FT – Wave off (checking left and right to make sure you are clear) and pull.

AFF Level 6 Training Video

  1. Spotting – point out the landing area before exiting.
  2. UNSTABLE EXIT – Instructor pushes student out of the plane.
  3. Hold for 3 – 5 seconds.
  4. Explode into an arch and get stable
  5. Altitude check.
  6. Practice pull.
  7. Instructor signals direction of delta track.
  8. Student tracks for 8 – 10 seconds.
  9. 360° turn if above 7,000ft.
  10. 6,000 FT – Signal no more maneuvers.
  11. 4,500 FT – Wave off (signal twice looking left and right) and pull.

AFF Level 7 Training Video

  1. Spotting – point out the landing area before exiting.
  2. Unassisted, floating exit. Climb-out and give the exit count.
  3. Same exit as Level V, but no grips from instructor.
  4. Practice pull.
  5. Check altitude.
  6. Follow instructor, making fall rate adjustments (3 feet up and down).
  7. Check altitude after each movement.
  8. Follow instructor, making fall rate adjustments (5 – 10 feet up and down).
  9. Check altitude after each movement.
  10. 6,500 FT – Turn 180° from the center of the formation and delta track for 5 seconds.
  11. 4,500 FT – Wave off (signal twice looking left and right) and pull.

AFF Level 8 Training Video

  1. Spotting – point out the landing area before exiting.
  2. DIVE EXIT – Take your position and give the exit count.
  3. Practice pull.
  4. Check altitude.
  5. Barrel roll.
  6. Altitude check.
  7. Demonstrate control on all axis in freefall
  8. 6,500 FT – Turn 180° from the center of the formation and delta track for 5 seconds.
  9. 4,500 FT – Wave off (signal twice looking left and right) and pull.
