-ism Canopy Piloting Series

ISM is planning a four competition series that will test competitors canopy piloting skills. Each one will be comprised of two rounds of three events. The first comp wil be a speed carving course to the left, long jump distance course, and a straight zone accuracy course.  There will be an exhibition round at the end for all the competitors that do freestyle, but  the score from this round will not affect the score of the previous three, it is going to be an independent contest. Each competition will consist of slightly diferent rounds, so for the second one we have planed a speed course to the right, a long jump course, and carving accuracy to the left. The rules of competition will be modeled after FAI but we will modify the weight rule to bridge the gap between the pros and the newcomers. This will force competitors to have to be efficient pilots and rely less on strategy than skill ...a true test of piloting.

ENTRY FEE:

$30 ($25 before 9/18)

EVENT CATEGORIES:

Speed (left), distance, zone accuracy

COURSE LAYOUT:

FAI, 5 foot gates

FAI

As of now we are only planning intermediate 4-way

Air Combat USA in conjunction with the SkyDive Perris Resort is proud to announce a weekend that will bring out the WARRIOR in you. If you are looking for sensory overload and the ultimate adrenalin rush, you have come to the right place.

Our Weekend Warrior event is scheduled for September 24 - 26, 2010 at the world renowned Skydive Perris Resort located on a privately owned airport about 60 miles east of Los Angeles. This is the ultimate playground for everything extreme. The Wind Tunnel Experience will introduce you to the sensation of skydiving with a 120 MPH column of air. Next your certified skydiving instructors, many of whom are National and World Champions as well as World Record holders, will brief you a tandem skydive. With the largest fleet of skydiving aircraft in the world, your jump experience will begin at 12,500 feet, where you will freefall for one minute and glide for five minutes under a parachute built for two.

Before you can come down from that adrenalin high, you will be suited up in fighter pilot gear and it is off to your briefing on fighter tactics and maneuvers, g-forces, rules of engagement and safety. We will launch from the same private airstrip and head to our practice area for your dog fight experience. The fights will be scored and the top scorers will have the opportunity to compete in a 3-dogfight decider for the coveted "TOP GUN" title and Gun Grip Trophy.

This is not for the meek. Sign up today and bring a friend and settle the score. This is your chance to take extreme to a whole new level with the best of the best. There are a limited number of spaces for this event. Don’t miss out.

Call Air Combat USA (800) 522-7590 for more information and reservations.
